Naymz
After Flytex broke up I met a cook (Vic Leadbetter) at work who played guitar. We got together in1977 and through Vic I met Jaymi & Jimmy.

Naymz consisted (in the beginning) of:
Jaymi Names on guitar
Vic Leadbetter on guitar
Jimmy Gurcio on drums
Bill Schneider on bass

                         Jaymi                                                                                                   Vic

                       Jimmy                                                                       & his drum set

We were trying to find the vocalist to complete the lineup when Vic was hit and killed on his motorcycle after rehearsal one evening.  The three of us left hung together for a time but it was never the same without Vic and eventually Jimmy moved on.
But before Jimmy left the band Jean Simmons from KISS stop by and checked us out one night, that was when KISS was looking for a new drummer (1978?), but with no vocals and attempting progressive rock as a three piece there was just no commercial potential for him to get excited about.

Jaymi and I kept playing together as "Naymz" through several more band lineups.

Jaymi Names was called at that time "James Names Wall Of Sound" and for good reason.

All that just for his guitar.
Man did the neighbors hate us!

And of course my rig was growing and getting louder all the time too.

It was in this room with this lineup that we heard about John Lennons death.

Peppi Pop on vocals                                                                          Pat Ford on drums

Next attempt: Notice my rig is bigger yet and Jaymi's has gotten uniform.
I don't remember who the drummer was.

And yet another attempt:
Again, I don't remembe the drummer or singers names.

The singer hung with us and eventually we started auditions for drummers again. We had some guys try out that had killer drum sets but they could either not play well or could not comprehend where Jaymi and I were coming from musically.
Then Jerry (pronounced Yarri) Kocco showed up.
When we saw this drumset we had to try hard not to laugh. But the laugh was on us because he took that sorry looking drumset and did what no other drummer at that time could do. Play to our music. He was the ONE!

This band like all the rest eventually became a part of history.

Two audio recordings exist
1 - The original lineup with Vic
2 - last lineup with Jerry, minus the vocalist
